What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

This item is helpful when you own a weapon or piece of gear that has reached the maximum level for its tier or is close to it. This item lets you upgrade the equipment to the next tier without risking its breaking.
If an upgrade fails the upgrade will be reversed to its initial state. This is usually a break, but it can also be an upgrade. Keep an upgrade in reserve until you're close to the maximum level for an item.
There are several items in the Kafra shop that can be used to boost the odds of a successful upgrade. You can increase the chances of success by upgrading equipment repeatedly using HD Oridecon and HD Elunium.
